She is also visited by the doctor, Don Jose, who diagnosed a disease with poor prognosis. Shortly after a sister picks up a beautiful girl who has been abandoned at the door of the convent and the doctor, despite being single, offers to legally adopt her and assign her to the convent as a pupil.
