Melina and Segundo get married in a collective ceremony that is part of the electoral campaign of the People's Party candidate. Segundo begins to work at the Maracaibo Petroleum Company. He soon becomes involved in the mysterious disappearance of the town's priest, who is involved in arms trafficking in support of the guerrillas.
