Yeon-hwa, a film director who hasn't made a movie in 10 years, watches her first short film while participating in Hae-man's documentary. After the film ends, the protagonist from the short film appears before her, complaining that she has "aged terribly because the director stopped making films" and urging Yeon-hwa to "make a movie right away."
