Iconic female character of the Front Populaire, Jean Renoir put her in scene in 1936 in the movie « La vie est à nous ». Instigator of the digger’s struggle against the nazi invaders, she is deported in 1942 and involved into the resistance within Ravensbrück’s camp. In 1945, she is designated for being one of the first woman member of parliament in France history, before to fall in oblivion.
