When he goes to work in the morning, he sees hundreds of pairs of shoes pouring out of the Warsaw subway. For him, these aren't just shoes. They're a job! But the hero of the film isn't just a shoeshine boy. He's also a dreamer. And, of course, a future millionaire. He believes in the "American dream." After all, there is a fine line between a shoeshine boy and a millionaire. He believes that sooner or later he will become a millionaire.
