Convoy to Cape Town (2009)
8 young musicians from all over the world took a road trip across South Africa, arriving in Cape Town ahead of the World Economic Forum. They were there to raise awareness about the half a million women who die from pregnancy and childbirth related causes each year. For many of them, it was their first time in Africa, and for all of them, it was the first time they'd met each other. As they traveled, they performed gigs in orphanages, schools and town halls, meeting, collaborating and learning from the South Africans who came to watch them play.
