The film tells the story of the love between shepherd Ahmet and Gülbahar, the daughter of a lord. One day, a horse begins to wait at Ahmet's door. Ahmet tells his mentor Sofi Dede about this incident. Sofi Dede says that the horse is a gift from God to Ahmet. After a while, it becomes clear that the horse belongs to Mahmut Han. However, according to custom, Ahmet cannot return the horse. The people of Ağrı also stand behind Ahmet. Amidst all this, a love story begins between Ahmet and Mahmut Han's daughter, Gülbahar.
