Christos and Maria, a couple living in poverty, hope for a better future. However, their love will be tested by the harsh reality and poverty that plagues them. When Christos loses his job, he abandons Maria for a wealthy woman. His life is filled with riches and comforts, but he soon realizes that his happiness lies with Maria.
