A comedy about two women and two marriages. A young woman lives in a Harlem apartment with a fire escape and is beaten by her husband. However, she is happy because she always gets a gift from him. Her neighbor envies her because her husband is quiet, never speaks a word, let alone shows his feelings to her in this way. So she provokes a scene with him, which has completely different effects than she expected...
