Tanzania, 1895. Muna is born Masai. She is different. Her skin is white like the moon, her hair as pale as ivory. Muna is albino. Villagers regard her as bewitched and decide to banish her. Muna grows up alone; her only mates are her mother and elephant, Aysha. One day, Muna hears about the existence of white men and sets out to find them, thinking they are her true tribe. But, they are only European hunters who trick her to track elephants. When the girl discovers this, she fights to help her village and vindicate its nature.
