Ali is the son of the director Ahmed Badrkhan and is the former husband of deceased actress So’ad Hosny. He got to know So’ad while filming the movie “Nadia” which was directed by his father Ahmed Badrkhan. ‘Ali was on the set working as an assistant director alongside his father, he married So’ad after the title was filmed. Their marriage continued for a period of 11 years during which he directed several films which featured his wife in leading roles.
