He started his acting career through the police drama series Gerak Khas , playing the role of DSP Kumar.He (since the absence of Angeline Tan and Nancie Foo ) is the only non-Malay non-Muslim actor to act in Gerak Khas . In addition, Kumaresan sat in the director's chair through the film Maindhan which was released in August 2014.
