Yasmina Adi is a French filmmaker originally from Grenoble, born to Algerian parents. She worked as a press officer before becoming an assistant director in 1997. She then devoted herself to writing documentaries. "The Other May 8, 1945 - At the Origins of the Algerian War," her first film, won the 2009 Scam Stars Award and was broadcast on French and international television channels. "Here We Drown Algerians - October 17, 1961" is her second film.
