Ansgar Schaefer is an integrated researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Universidade NOVA de Lisboa. At the same time, he works as a screenwriter, producer and director of cinematographic documentaries In 1986, he graduated in Political and Germanic Sciences from the University of Trier (Germany), having held in 2002 a master's degree in Contemporary History at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the NOVA University of Lisbon.
