Alinda Dimitriou was born in Athens in 1933 and studied Directing at the Stavrakou School. Alongside organizing film screenings during the period 1970-1975, she participated in seminars on the short film, and wrote and translated articles in film magazines. She is the author of the book Filmography of short films (1939-1979), while in 1992 she published the Dictionary of short films. She directed over 50 documentaries.
