Andrew was raised in Hillsborough, NJ, where he pursued filming short films and skits with his friends. He attended Bennington College, initially pursuing a degree in film and media studies, but quickly became an honorary member of the drama department. His senior work, a one man show titled "Where Are We Now", explored his diagnosis of autism and the concept of what it meant to "get better".
