Ege Topoyan, born in Istanbul to a family of artists, grew up admiring cinema. His debut short "A Letter from No Tomorrow " premiered at the 19th Akbank Short Film Festival and won several regional awards. He is currently a student at the Turkish Film & TV Institute, and Breakwater is his second short film. Ege aspires to create dreamlike textures in cinema, grounded in a strong sense of reality.
