Victoria Chicón

Victoria was born in Catacaos, Piura, in 1943, and lived in Lima until 1998. She was the head of the editing department at Telecine, one of Peru's most renowned film production companies. She learned the ins and outs of the industry by producing and editing over 1,500 commercials and working with acclaimed directors, becoming one of the most prolific editors in the field. After 12 years, she began working independently, producing and directing her own documentaries.
