Saiyed Farooq Jamal completed his graduation in Literature from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India. He is a self-taught filmmaker who made his debut in 2019 with a short film titled "In Her City..." It was officially selected at four film festivals in India, Bangladesh, Italy and the UK. His second short "Sisak" (English Title: The Silent Scream) (2021) was also officially selected at four film festivals in India and the UK.
